AVNA seeks a highly skilled Class A Mold Maker to build, fit, modify, and repair complex molds with precision. You will interpret detailed drawings and GD&T, set up CNC and EDM equipment, and lead mold trials to ensure quality and manufacturability.

You will mentor junior mold makers and collaborate with design, engineering, and processing teams to optimize tooling, cycle times, and part quality, while maintaining thorough mold history and preventive maintenance records.

Qualifikationen

• Journeyman toolmaker certification or equivalent training required.
• 5–10+ years of mold-making experience with high-precision molds.
• Proficiency in mold design, tool steels, heat treatment, and tight-tolerance machining.
• Ability to independently program, set up, and operate CNC and EDM systems.

Aufgaben

• Build new molds from start to finish, including machining, assembly, polishing, and qualification.
• Interpret detailed drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T with minimal supervision.
• Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes, surface grinders, EDM systems.
• Lead mold trials to ensure dimensional, cosmetic, and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and processing teams to optimize manufacturability.
• Maintain mold history and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with tight tolerances, quality standards, and safety procedures.
