Job summary

Korry Electronics, Co. in Everett, WA is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to plan, design, and maintain molds and tooling as part of the manufacturing team. You will collaborate with punch press, injection mold, and line technicians to ensure high-quality parts and robust tooling.

The role emphasizes mold design, die maintenance, and solving tooling challenges with root cause analysis; experienced professionals with CAD/CAM familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metal characteristics and heat-treating.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to prototype parts.
• Working knowledge of injection mold machines/press room equipment.
• Proficient with conventional and CNC tool-room equipment.
• Proficient with Sinker EDM, Wire EDM, Hole Popper EDM.
• Ability to read and use blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and create molds.
• Troubleshoot, modify and repair molds.
• Perform periodic mold and die maintenance.
• Modify or repair tooling and progressive dies.
• Die conversions for multiple part configurations.
• Examine dies and tooling for design improvements.
• Apply Root Cause Analysis to tooling failures.
• Work with outside suppliers and vendors.
