Job summary

Datwyler is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to maintain production and quality performance while efficiently using manufacturing equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, operating machine shop tools, and setting up molds and dies with precision.

Responsibilities include repairing stamping dies and high cavitation plastic injection molds, plus adherence to GMP, SOPs, and related procedures. High school or GED and 4 years’ experience in a machine shop are expected.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Four years minimum experience in a machine shop role.
• Ability to read blueprints and implement GMP/SOP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Operate all machine shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Milling machines (manual and CNC), lathes and surface grinders.
• Service and repair progressive high-speed stamping dies.
• Service and repair high cavitation plastic injection molds.
• Set up and troubleshoot molds and dies on Schaal presses and Sumitomo machines.
