U.S. Water Heating seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maintenance machinist for the Montgomery, AL facility. The role requires interpreting detailed mechanical drawings, planning shop work, and producing precise metal parts using lathes, drills, grinders, and CNC equipment as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a journeyman program or equivalent education with several years of hands-on experience, can work independently, and maintains strict quality standards in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman machinist program + 3 years experience or 2-year degree with 5 years experience.
• Ability to lift 5-60+ lbs as described in duties.
• Ability to read algebra, geometry, trig and apply physics.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair metal parts, tools, and machines.
• Interpret complex mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Plan shop work to shape metal parts with tight tolerances.
• Operate and program CNC equipment where required.
• Maintain quality standards per specifications.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Inspect parts for defects.
