RK&K is seeking a Senior Toll Specialist to join our tolling department in a remote capacity. The role focuses on planning, analysis, design, and the implementation of tolling systems, including roadside and back-office components, with emphasis on policy and business rules.

Ideal candidates have at least ten years of experience with DOTs and toll agencies, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.

RK&K is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Toll Specialist. As a member of our tolling department, the Senior Toll Specialist is expected to have thorough knowledge of all aspects of tolling including planning, analysis, design, systems (roadside toll collection systems and back-office systems), tolling infrastructure and system implementation, tolling policy and business rules, customer service center, operations, or other aspects of tolling.

This is a remote position.

Essential Functions

• Provide technical, operational and data analytics support on projects
• Prepare and/or perform technical review of toll system requirements and designs, planning studies, engineering analyses, test plans, and Concepts of Operations
• Assist in the design and development of tolling concepts and reports including requirement analysis, technology review and selection, toll equipment specifications, and back-office communications and operating systems
• Support the tolling group with the development and review of system integration plans, testing procedures and commissioning documentation for toll systems
• Support the implementation of tolling systems and IT systems
• Assist in the development of procurement documentation for tolling clients with respect to technical, functional, and operational specifications including performing research on industry best practices and leading edge approaches to enhance client outcomes.
• Help to develop and implement key performance indicator (KPI) reporting tools for toll vendor contracts on various tolling projects

Required Skills And Experience

• Minimum of ten (10) years technical and/or operational experience working with DOT’s and toll agencies
• Highly competent in both oral and written communications
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our company growth and success
• Demonstrated experience in toll infrastructure, roadside, back-office systems, customer service center operations, and supporting systems
