RK&K seeks a Senior Toll Specialist for a fully remote role. The position requires deep tolling knowledge across planning, design, systems, policy and operations, with focus on DOT and toll agency interfaces.

You will provide technical and data analytics support, review toll system designs, develop KPI reporting, and assist in system implementations and client procurement documentation to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years technical and/or operational experience working with DOTs and toll agencies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience in toll infrastructure, roadside and back-office systems, customer service center operations, and supporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, operational and data analytics support on tolling projects.
• Review toll system requirements, designs, planning studies, test plans and operations concepts.
• Assist in design and development of tolling concepts and reports including requirements analysis and back-office communications.
• Support development of system integration plans, testing procedures and commissioning documentation for toll systems.
• Assist in toll system and IT system implementation.
• Develop procurement documentation for tolling clients with regard to technical, functional, and operational specs and research best practices.
• Help develop KPI reporting tools for toll vendor contracts on various projects.

Job description

RK&K is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Toll Specialist. As a member of our tolling department, the Senior Toll Specialist is expected to have thorough knowledge of all aspects of tolling including planning, analysis, design, systems (roadside toll collection systems and back-office systems), tolling infrastructure and system implementation, tolling policy and business rules, customer service center, operations, or other aspects of tolling.

This is a remote position.

Essential Functions:

• Provide technical, operational and data analytics support on projects
• Prepare and/or perform technical review of toll system requirements and designs, planning studies, engineering analyses, test plans, and Concepts of Operations
• Assist in the design and development of tolling concepts and reports including requirement analysis, technology review and selection, toll equipment specifications, and back-office communications and operating systems
• Support the tolling group with the development and review of system integration plans, testing procedures and commissioning documentation for toll systems
• Support the implementation of tolling systems and IT systems
• Assist in the development of procurement documentation for tolling clients with respect to technical, functional, and operational specifications including performing research on industry best practices and leading edge approaches to enhance client outcomes.
• Help to develop and implement key performance indicator (KPI) reporting tools for toll vendor contracts on various tolling projects

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of ten (10) years technical and/or operational experience working with DOT's and toll agencies
• Highly competent in both oral and written communications
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our company growth and success
• Demonstrated experience in toll infrastructure, roadside, back-office systems, customer service center operations, and supporting systems
