The Operations Specialist will join our team providing 24x7x365 monitoring of the nation’s transportation system, reporting on incidents, accidents, and threats to the system’s integrity, and evaluating the potential impacts on

Qualifications

• Degree requirement: High school diploma or equivalent certificate (required).
• Years experience: at least 8-10 years of experience required.
• Required certifications or experience: 24/7 operations center, military, law enforcement, or emergency management experience is a must.
• Clearance level: Secret (suitability for TS/SCI necessary)
• US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Monitor the status of the nation’s transportation systems and report incidents, accidents, or threats to system integrity.
• Obtain information from diverse communications equipment and ensure proper format, priority, and distribution per SOPs.
• Contribute to situational awareness and emergency management by distributing items of interest to decision-makers.
• Develop relationships with personnel from other departments and agencies for information exchange.
• Become proficient with WebEOC for statistics, reporting, and archiving.
• Strive for increased responsibilities and improve SOPs, checklists, and procedures.
• Oversee preparation and distribution of critical reports and alerts; brief senior staff as needed.
