Job summary

Old Republic Title is seeking a Senior Underwriter/Officer to provide expert underwriting guidance and lead title operations. This hybrid role requires Illinois underwriting experience and collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure compliance and excellence in service.

You will mentor junior underwriters, review complex title documents, and support sales through strong customer relationships across Illinois.

Qualifications

• Illinois underwriting experience required.
• Senior-level underwriting and mentorship responsibilities.
• Ability to navigate regulatory and company policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review underwriting questions promptly via email and direct inquiry.
• Assist Title Examiners with title worksheets and commitments.
• Mentor Junior Underwriters on underwriting standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with approved attorney customers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate complex risks and ensure policy compliance.
• Support sales by strengthening customer relationships.
• Underwrite and service title insurance transactions across Illinois.
• Review commercial title commitments, policies, and endorsements as needed.
