Job summary

San Bernardino County's Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting Title Transfer Technicians II to assist staff with the most complex title transfers, exclusions, exemptions, and reappraisal calculations. This role also involves reviewing changes in ownership and explaining title transfer tax laws to the public.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve inconsistencies while ensuring compliance with California Revenue and Taxation

Qualifications

• Must possess two (2) years of full-time equivalent work experience as a Title Transfer Technician in a California County Assessor's office.
• Must possess three (3) years of full-time equivalent work experience interpreting and explaining California Revenue and Taxation Code regarding change in ownership, exclusions, and/or exemptions of real property.

Responsibilities

• Assist subordinates with the most complex title transfers, exclusions, and exemption transactions, and with reappraisal calculations.
• Review and process complex changes in ownership, determine appropriate action, and explain title transfer property tax laws to staff and the public.
