Job summary

The Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk's office is recruiting for Title Transfer Technicians II to support complex title transfer work, exclusions, exemptions, and reappraisal calculations. Qualifications

• OPTION 1: two years of full-time equivalent work experience as a Title Transfer Technician in a California County Assessor's office.
• OPTION 2: three years of full-time equivalent work experience interpreting and explaining California Revenue and Taxation Code regarding change in ownership, exclusions, and/or exemptions of real property.
• All work experience and education information must be clearly detailed and demonstrated on the application AND supplemental questionnaire to ensure qualifications are properly considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist subordinates with the most complex title transfers, exclusions, and exemption transactions, as well as reappraisal calculations.
• Review and process complex changes in ownerships, determine appropriate action to resolve transfer inconsistencies, and explain title transfer laws to staff and the public.
