Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Threat Hunter at Fort Huachuca, AZ, to proactively identify and mitigate threats across subscriber networks. You will lead incident response, develop advanced detections, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced, 24x7 DoW CSSP environment.

You will work hybrid, three days on-site, handling DoDIN threat hunts, building AI-assisted detections, and delivering clear reports to leadership while maintaining TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 7+ years in cyber analysis, threat hunting, and/or purple-team or blue-team operations.
• Experience with U.S. Government CSSP.
• Experience investigating sophisticated cyber threats and improving detection capabilities.
• Knowledge of TTPs and their application to threat hunting and incident response.
• Experience in cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
• Certifications (Security+) and CSSP Analyst (CEH, GCIH) listed.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support incident response during high-severity cyber incidents.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Identify adversary TTPs and develop countermeasures.
• Build, tune, and monitor AI-assisted detections and ML capabilities.
• Apply advanced cybersecurity tools to detect and mitigate threats.
• Develop and refine threat-hunting hypotheses from intel and anomalies.
• Produce clear, actionable reports for technical and leadership audiences.
• Collaborate across cybersecurity, IT, and network teams.
• Stay current on emerging threats and translate intel into detection improvements.
• Deliver cybersecurity training for threat hunters and defenders.
• Mentor team members and foster technical excellence.
• Brief SES/Flag Officer-level stakeholders when needed.
