Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a cybersecurity-related field.
• At least 5+ years in threat detection, security engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on SIEM experience with major platforms.
• Experience developing detection rules and monitoring processes.
• Knowledge of auditing principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting audits and auditor requests.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and control standards.
• Experience investigating security events and analyzing logs.
• Strong network, endpoint, and cloud security monitoring knowledge.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring capabilities.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and event analysis to identify risks.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, IR, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve coverage.
• Support audits by providing evidence and audit responses.
• Evaluate controls and recommend enhancements for compliance and risk reduction.
• Align monitoring practices with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Analyze security logs across network, endpoint, cloud, and apps.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure detection effectiveness.
• Automate monitoring and reporting through scripting and workflows.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Maintain documentation of controls, monitoring, and audit artifacts.
