Job summary

Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Thin Film Metrology Engineer to drive metrology execution for 18A technology. You will own data analysis, model development, tool matching, and collaboration across fab, TD, Yield, and Process Integration to ensure readiness for production ramps and sustained manufacturing excellence.

The role requires 4+ years in thin film metrology and advanced-node semiconductor manufacturing, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering/science field.
• 4+ years in thin film metrology techniques and high-volume manufacturing.
• 4+ years in advanced-node semiconductor manufacturing/development or high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of data analysis and statistics; exposure to machine learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed data analysis using statistical/data mining tools to identify root causes of parametric mismatches and OCD model integrity.
• Provide technical guidance on thin film process monitoring, tool matching, and metrology optimization.
• Lead/participate in continuous improvement projects on products and processes for improved yield performance.
• Provide expertise on process flow segments and control all aspects analysis related to these areas.
• Lead/participate in multi-area problem solving teams to provide model expertise to troubleshoot complex yield problems.
• Design and implement metrology models to deliver quick, precise feedback on product integrity and resolve yield-impacting issues.
• Collaborate with Technology Development, Yield, Process Integration, Fab modules to drive metrology readiness for 18A technology introductions and ensure alignment of metrology capabilities with manufacturing requirements.
