Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, is seeking a Core Components Supervisor within the global thermal systems core engineering team. You will lead the climate and cooling components for existing internal combustion vehicles and next-generation electric vehicles, collaborating with global suppliers and internal teams to deliver reliable parts.

The role requires a 10-year automotive background, with 5+ years supervising and hands-on experience with DFMEA, WCCA, and GTDS processes.

Qualifications

10 years of automotive industry experience.
5+ years of experience with automotive thermal system components/subsystem design or related experience.
5+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Lead global core engineering team for climate and/or cooling components.
Author engineering specifications and foundation documents (DFMEA, DVP, ESOW) for components.
Lead in creating sourcing quote packages and supplier technical assessments.
Lead implementation of new suppliers and technologies using Ford GTDS process.
Create, update and monitor modular catalog of parts for vehicle usage.
Support WCCA and safety reviews; participate in EMC, NetCom activities.
Identify and mitigate project risks during supplier implementation.
Review and approve DV/PV plans and develop commodity business plans.
Lead cross-carline warranty issue resolutions and TVM actions.
