Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced leader to design and optimize thermal control algorithms for climate, battery, and powertrain systems. You will deliver robust C code in real-time embedded environments and work with test engineers to validate performance on bench and vehicle platforms.

Required are a Master’s in engineering or CS, 8+ years in control algorithm development, and strong Python with model-based design.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science with exceptional ability.
• 8+ years developing control algorithms for physical systems.
• High proficiency in Python and strong model-based design foundations.
• Solid background in control theory and embedded software development.

Responsabilités

• Create control/estimation algorithms for broad thermal management scope.
• Deliver high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment.
• Write unit, SIL, and HIL test cases to verify functionality.
• Collaborate with test/integration engineers to debug at bench and vehicle level.
• Adapt or create reduced-order models for control-focused workflows.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers on control strategies.
• Develop fault detections and reaction strategies for customer experience.
• Develop and compare models to evaluate control algorithms across metrics.
• Monitor fleet telemetry to improve software quality and features.
