Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Thermal Systems Modeling Engineer to lead the design and optimization of data center chiller systems. You will perform thermal analyses, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities include selecting components, validating performance, and driving innovations in thermodynamics and heat transfer to ensure reliability and efficiency of Carrier cooling solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of thermal modeling experience.
• 3+ years of experience with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer principles, and refrigeration cycles.
• Experience with product development processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of chiller systems, including component selection, system integration, and performance optimization.
• Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance under various operating conditions and environments.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and manufacturing to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Support product testing and validation activities, analyzing results and implementing design improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to early career engineers.
