Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte seeks a Thermal Systems Modeling Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize chiller systems for data center cooling, applying thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigerant performance analyses.
The role requires a BS with 5+ years (or MS with 3+ years) of thermal modeling, with proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, or Ansys. Collaboration across product, engineering, and manufacturing is essential to deliver high‑quality solutions.
As a Thermal Systems Modeling Engineer at Carrier, you will be a key member of our dynamic engineering team dedicated to developing advanced cooling solutions particularly for the data center customers. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in thermal systems to design, analyze, and optimize chiller systems for maximum efficiency, reliability, and performance. You will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to ensure that our chiller products meet and exceed customer expectations while adhering to industry standards and regulations. You must have a strong understanding of the thermodynamics of the chiller system, heat transfer, pressure vessel design and refrigerant system performance analysis.
The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position may be entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
