Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer in Advanced Thermal Applications to lead complex thermal and CFD analyses for heat rejection equipment. You will work across Engineering, R&D, Applications and Sales to ensure analytical methods meet product capabilities and customer needs.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in HVAC analysis, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel and a focus on timely, practical solutions are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
• 5+ years of HVAC industry experience with airflow, thermal, or HVAC-related analyses.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise sound engineering judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex results.
• Collaborate with local, regional, and international teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex thermal and fluid analyses to support customer heat rejection needs and site layouts.
• Evaluate airflow distribution, unit interactions, and layout effects on thermal performance.
• Advise customers on testing needs, objectives and timelines.
• Communicate analysis results to stakeholders, ensuring practical solutions.
• Assist with CFD analysis of site layouts and interpret results for customers.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, Applications, and Sales to align analytical approaches with capabilities.
• Establish documentation and reporting standards for consistency and traceability.
• Propose improvements to analytical tools to meet customer needs.
• Stay up to date with developments in the heat rejection industry.
