Job summary

Blue Origin's MK1 Lunar Lander team seeks a Thermal Mechanical Engineer III to drive the design of active and passive thermal hardware, mentor teammates, and contribute to safe spaceflight.

You will create and review drawings, release data using Creo Parametric and Windchill, and work with cross-functional teams to select materials and manufacturing processes for world-class aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• Minimum a B.S. degree in engineering with 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical design skills using Creo.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.

Responsibilities

• Preparing design layouts, creating detail part and assembly drawings/MBDs, and releasing data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
• Creating and reviewing engineering drawings and designs to ensure alignment to established specifications and standards.
• Supporting engineering teams in the development with mechanical layout and detail design and drawing for structural parts and assemblies.
• Applying techniques to plan, layout, and maintain data depicting engineering designs.
• Implementing engineering and manufacturing standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule and performance.
• Working with multi-functional teams responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers.
