Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mk1 Thermal Mechanical Engineer III to join the MK1Lunar Lander team. Lead mechanical design work, release drawings, and coordinate with materials and manufacturing for aerospace hardware.

Requirements include a B.S. in engineering and 5+ years of Creo-based design experience, GD&T proficiency, and strong communication skills. This on-site role offers a challenging environment in aerospace development.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical design skills using Creo.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, and skeletons.
• Experience designing active or passive thermal hardware.
• Experience in cross-functional design teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, create detail part and assembly drawings/MBDs, and release data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
• Create and review engineering drawings to meet specifications and standards.
• Support engineering teams in mechanical layout and detail design for structures.
• Apply company design techniques to plan and maintain data for drawings and datasets.
• Implement standard methodologies balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
• Collaborate with materials, manufacturing, and suppliers to produce aerospace hardware.
