Job summary

Stellantis seeks a senior engineer to lead Thermal System Innovation, defining and executing advanced thermal projects (cooling, refrigerant, HVAC interfaces) to improve heating and cooling performance while reducing energy use. The role includes mentoring the TECH PS Thermal Management team and aligning efforts with the broader vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/aeronautical/nuclear engineering or physics
• 8+ years in development and design of advanced thermal system architecture and HVAC
• Deep understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer phenomena
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heat exchangers, and duct flow distribution
• Experience with experimental testing and validation of HVAC systems; interpretation of CFD/ simulations

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute thermal innovation master projects to meet targets
• Synthesize outcomes of sub-projects for leadership presentations
• Coordinate internally and externally required resources for master projects
• Develop competencies in TECH PS Thermal Management and mentor team members
• Research new areas for innovation aligned with brand pillars and supplier tech
• Lead technology scouting and benchmarking of markets and patents
• Define annual innovation plan for thermal systems with management
• Ensure adherence to schedule, deliverables and budget
