Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead the design and release of mass production thermal components for electric vehicles, collaborating with Body, Studio, Packaging, and CAE teams. You will interface with suppliers and cross-functional groups to ensure optimal integration and program milestones are met.

The role requires at least 5 years in thermal component design and a BSME, with experience in HVACs, ducts, and heat exchangers, and CAD (CATIA V6 preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum BSME degree in mechanical/automotive engineering.
• 5+ years of experience related to Thermal component design, release, and production launch.
• OEM/Tier 1 experience on Thermal components (HVACs/Ducts/heat-exchangers).
• Proficiency in CAD for design and release; CATIA V6 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and release of mass production thermal system components, HVAC modules, ducts and brackets.
• Interface with multiple teams to ensure design integration for aerodynamic and range efficiency; support sourcing.
• Develop/Review DFMEA, PFMEA, and Functional Safety documents.
