Harting Inc. of North America is seeking a Senior Innovation Engineer (Thermal Fluids) based in Elgin, Illinois with a hybrid work schedule. The role centers on bringing new technologies to life via co-creation with partners, rapid prototyping, and validating solutions with early adopter customers.

A strong background in Thermal Fluids and multi-disciplinary collaboration is required. The candidate will lead projects across regional and international teams, manage lab equipment, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in new product development.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management.

Responsibilities

• Ideation and development of new innovative products with validation to customer requirements.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and manage projects.
• Focus on rapid prototyping and testing with early adopters to validate market potential.
• Communicate results and market potential to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support patent applications for new developments.
• Travel up to 15% for customer appointments and industry events.
• Collaborate across regional and international teams to drive complex projects.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment as necessary.
