Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to design, analyze, and validate thermal control systems for satellite and aerospace hardware. You will lead thermal concepts through detailed design, simulations, and testing in a cross-functional team environment.

The role requires extensive experience in space-grade thermal environments, radiative, conductive, and convective heat transfer, and strong communication skills for customer reviews and proposals.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical, Thermal, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years of industry experience in thermal/mechanical design and analysis; MS may count as 2 years.
• Expertise in electronics/PCBA, box, and system-level thermal design and analysis.
• Proficiency with simulation tools such as ANSYS or Thermal Desktop, and MCAD tools like SolidWorks.
• Strong mechanical engineering and heat transfer fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate thermal control systems for Cesium’s products.
• Lead thermal designs from concept through requirements, detailed design, and testing.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on integrated solutions.
