Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. seeks a Senior Staff Thermal Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and validation of thermal control systems for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace hardware.

You will work within a cross‑functional team to develop optimized thermal solutions and validate them through testing and simulations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with radiation, conduction, and convection heat transfer, plus proficiency with ANSYS or Thermal Desktop and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical, Thermal, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12 years of industry experience in thermal/mechanical design and analysis.
• Master of Science may count as 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate thermal control systems for spacecraft and airborne platforms.
• Develop and analyze thermal management for electronics and PCBA.
• Create and validate thermal models; build thermal resistance networks.
• Collaborate with electrical/mechanical teams to optimize designs.
• Present design reviews to customers and management; participate in proposals.
