RTX's Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) Department in Tucson, AZ is seeking a mid-level Senior Thermal Engineer to perform detailed thermal analyses across product lifecycles from design trade studies to qualification testing. This role requires a bachelor’s in STEM and at least 5 years of experience with ANSYS, PATRAN, or Thermal Desktop/SINDA, plus ability to obtain a U.S.

government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in thermal analysis with ANSYS, PATRAN, or Thermal Desktop/SINDA or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical principles to solve classical thermal analysis, inside and outside finite element tools.
• Experience in thermal testing: planning, organization, execution, data reduction and correlation.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Perform hand calculations to scope higher detail analyses.
• Conduct detailed thermal analyses to solve program challenges.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance.
• Analyze test data to validate/correlate models.
• Lead or participate in technical reviews and present results to stakeholders.
