Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Etters, PA seeks a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead active thermal management for high-density interconnect systems. You will collaborate with customers to define boundary conditions, perform CFD-based simulations, and validate designs through lab testing to deliver production-ready thermal solutions.

The candidate will optimize designs balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability, and present findings to customers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in thermal design or analysis for cooling electronic systems or interconnect hardware preferred
• Proficiency with CFD tools (ANSYS Icepak, FloTHERM, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Customer Collaboration: Engage directly with customers to gather thermal boundary conditions, system-level constraints, and performance requirements.
• Thermal Simulation and Analysis: Develop and execute thermal models using CFD tools; analyze airflow, temperature distribution, and heat dissipation for active thermal solutions.
• Experimental Validation: Plan and conduct thermal testing and validation; correlate data with simulations.
• Optimization and Reporting: Balance performance, cost, and manufacturability; prepare detailed reports and present results to customers and cross-functional teams.
