Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Advanced Thermal Control Engineer to develop and optimize thermal control algorithms and integrate them into embedded software and testing frameworks. You will work with global teams spanning regions/time zones and help drive automated testing and production-ready solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical control design, proficiency in C/C++/Python, ML/AI familiarity, and Git; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with mechanical system controls and algorithm/code design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, EE, ME, Automation/Controls, or equivalent.
• Experience with control design.
• Understanding of applying algorithms to production code.
• Expertise with programming languages including C, C++, Python.
• Familiarity with source control / Git and dev environments.
• Familiarity with ML/AI technologies.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Requirements analysis: gather requirements, prototype algorithms, analyze data, design test campaigns.
• Project management: plan projects, estimate tasks, manage versions.
• Full lifecycle algorithm development: design, review, test, & assist firmware integration.
• Documentation: write code comments and user guides for service/troubleshooting.
• Product testing: unit/system tests and field test support.
• Leadership: lead engineer, positive attitude, creativity, broad responsibility.
• Other tasks as required by management.
