Job summary

Tribonet is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to own end-to-end thermal simulations for marine-grade, high-power electromechanical systems. The role emphasizes rapid design iteration and high-fidelity CFD, including GPU-accelerated workflows.

You'll work with mechanical, electrical, and prototype teams to define requirements, validate results, and move concepts from architecture to field validation in a Portland, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Strong background in thermal engineering and heat transfer.
• Experience with CFD for high-power systems and manufacturable designs.
• Ability to translate heat loads into system-level cooling targets.

Responsibilities

• Own full thermal simulation workflow for onboard payloads and electronics.
• Develop fast CFD workflows to support rapid design iteration.
• Define cooling interfaces and targets for hardware layouts.
• Validate simulations against prototype tests and measurements.
• Build reusable pipelines and automation for thermal analysis.
