Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Fluids Analysis Engineer (CFD) to advance our iron-air battery systems from R&D to full-scale deployment. You will own physics-based modeling across Electrolyte, Thermal, Hydrogen, and Air Delivery subsystems to optimize system-wide performance and grid stability.

You will collaborate with electrochemical, mechanical, and power electronics teams, validate against experiments, and drive standardized modeling workflows with scalable tools and rapid execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with strong Thermal-Fluid focus.
• Experience with commercial CFD tools and multiphysics.
• Proven ability to translate simulation results into design inputs.

Responsibilities

• Build high-fidelity CFD and transient thermal models across scales.
• Validate models against empirical data with test teams.
• Develop automated simulation and optimization workflows for fluid routing and cooling.
• Collaborate with electrochemical, mechanical, and power electronics teams.
• Choose simulation methodologies and boundary conditions to identify hotspots.
• Standardize internal modeling workflows and lead peer design reviews.
• Develop customized tools to remove engineering blockers.
