Job summary

Atlas Copco in Rock Hill, SC seeks a Lead Test Technician to ensure top quality in our compressor products. You will perform mechanical and electronic testing on rotating equipment, using laser alignment, vibration analysis, and sensor data to verify performance.

You will spend about 60% testing, 20% performing quality audits, and 20% mentoring technicians on best practices. Collaboration with engineers, QA, and production is essential to quickly resolve issues and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Extensive experience testing rotating machinery (compressors, blowers, dryers).
• Proficient with laser shaft alignment, vibration analysis, and sensors.
• Strong troubleshooting and data reporting abilities.
• Experience mentoring/leading technical staff.
• Comfort with Windows and test-report software.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Test procedures on rotating machinery including compressors, blowers, and dryers.
• Lead quality audits and inspections on production lines.
• Mentor and train technicians to build technical capability.
• Document test results and analyze data for improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and production to resolve issues quickly.
