Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Quality Technician I to ensure products meet strict quality standards. You will report to the Supplier Quality Assurance Supervisor and support production through inspections, quality assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work on-site, conducting detailed inspections, documenting results, and collaborating with engineers and production staff to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma with related experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of products and materials using visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing methods to confirm quality compliance.
• Evaluate manufacturing and assembly processes to identify deviations and improvement areas.
• Document inspection results and generate non-conformance reports for rejected materials and products.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and QA teams to analyze root causes and support corrective actions.
• Assist in updating work instructions and quality documentation to reflect best practices.
• Support continuous improvement to increase first-pass yield and reduce scrap.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain an organized work environment.
• Occasionally support additional QA duties as needed.
