Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a Test Technician to support and debug test processes in manufacturing. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with engineering to improve quality and efficiency. You will train operators, analyze issues, and contribute to root-cause investigations.

A two-year engineering or technical degree is preferred, with 5+ years of related experience. The position is located in Rochester, MN, and requires readiness for a 24/7 global operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/test environment.
• Ability to effectively train diverse groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs debug and test assemblies to component level, using diagrams and schematics.
• Maintains testers and performs upkeep.
• Troubleshoots operator problems and works with leadership on training and process improvements.
• Provides training and ongoing support to Test operators.
• Communicates problems to Test Engineer or leader.
• Participates in experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
• Supports Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
