Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Senior Test Technician to test and troubleshoot state-of-the-art digital system assemblies in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of the Test Engineering team, conducting functional tests, setting up equipment, collecting data, and reporting findings to help resolve issues.

The role requires extensive experience with high-density electronics (CPU/FPGA), strong documentation skills, and proficiency in schematics and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 7 years of relevant work experience in testing digital systems and subassemblies.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience Test and troubleshoot high-density electronic assemblies (CPU/FPGA) at the board and system levels.
• Experience with production processes, quality control, and efficiency.
• Experience performing and documenting test procedures, and responding to potential issues.
• Experience identifying root causes of problems, develop solutions, and impact of changes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex schematics technical specifications.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, serial communications, RDP use, and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and diagnostic tests to verify system performance, form, and functionality.
• Set up, deploy, and operate test equipment across various technologies.
• Collect, measure, and record performance data; prepare accurate and complete test reports of all recorded data.
• Program, verify, and troubleshoot devices, systems, and processes to identify and repair defects.
• Support Engineers with technical documentation, schematics, and specifications, and perform necessary calculations
• Perform initial tests on new or modified equipment and recommend improvements
• Report defects and collaborate with the production team to resolve product issues
