Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Senior Test Technician to test and troubleshoot state-of-the-art digital system assemblies for aerospace and defense applications. The role is a 2nd shift position (1:00 pm–10:30 pm M-TH, 1:00 pm–9:30 pm every other Friday) on a 9/80 schedule, working within the Test Engineering group.

Responsibilities include applying electronics principles to high-density assemblies, performing functional tests, and generating accurate test reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; able to read schematics and technical data.
• Experience performing complex testing and problem-solving on digital systems and subassemblies.
• Familiarity with equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, serial emulators, and networking tools.
• Ability to prepare detailed test reports and data per test procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot to root cause and work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Apply electronics principles to test and troubleshoot high-density multi-system assemblies at board/system level.
• Perform functional tests to verify PCB and system fit, form, and functionality.
• Set up and deploy complex equipment across technologies for diagnostics.
• Verify product configurations, test processes, and equipment setup; document results.
• Record performance data and prepare complete test reports; verify data accuracy.
• Assist engineers with procedures and calculations to ensure proper function of test setups.
• Perform initial tests on new or changed equipment and suggest modifications for better results.
• Submit defect reports and coordinate with production to resolve issues.
