Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Test Technician III to independently support and lead development, build, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex electro-mechanical test equipment for advanced unmanned systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, provide technical leadership in fabrication, and contribute to design improvement, validation, and process optimization efforts on a fast-paced, defense-focused program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent certificate from a technical school.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience designing complex electro-mechanical assembly systems.
• Experience creating engineering drawings per ASME Y14 standards and familiarity with PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate electro-mechanical test systems, tooling and fixtures.
• Sustain electromechanical equipment on production floor and supplier sites.
• Lead design-from-concept through build, test and deployment with engineering teams.
• Provide rapid prototyping fabrication and assembly services for prototype hardware.
• Ensure safe operation of shop equipment and document build techniques.
