Job summary

AV in Utah seeks a Test Technician III to independently support and lead the development, build, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex electro‑mechanical test equipment for advanced unmanned systems. The role partners with engineering teams to provide fabrication leadership and drive design improvement, validation, and process optimization.

The position requires weekly travel from Salt Lake City, UT to Simi Valley, CA for training during the first 30 days, after which the role is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience designing machined parts, sheet metal, wire & cable, and mechanical assemblies.
• 4–6 years of experience designing complex electro‑mechanical assembly systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate electro‑mechanical test systems, tooling and fixtures.
• Sustain electromechanical automated test equipment on production floors and supplier sites.
• Assist design engineers from concept through build, test and deployment.
• Lead fabrication, validation, deployment and process improvements on test equipment.
• Fabricate development test fixtures, tools or molds and provide prototyping services.
• Document build techniques and processes for ready-to-use equipment.
