Job summary

The Boeing Company’s Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems group in El Segundo, CA is hiring multiple Entry-Level Associate Test Systems Design and Analysis Engineers to join the Special Test Equipment (STE) team.

You will design, develop, and validate space-grade test equipment and software, with hands-on lab integration, while collaborating with hardware engineers and test technicians to ensure mission-critical reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong software architecture skills for modular, scalable test systems.
• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand for test sequencing and instrumentation automation.

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture and lead development of test automation frameworks and data pipelines.
• Develop, maintain, and validate instrument drivers and interfaces for common test equipment.
• Implement automated tests and data logging using C#, LabVIEW, Python, and MATLAB as applicable.
• Integrate test assets into cohesive systems with robust error handling and timing considerations.
• Design and implement modular software components with CI/CD and testing.
• Build user interfaces and operator tools to enable efficient testing.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define APIs and safe interfaces.
• Lead hands-on lab integration: deploy software to test benches and troubleshoot.
• Implement automated data analysis and reporting for test campaigns.
• Use and extend build/test infrastructure to support reproducible builds and releases.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, API docs, and maintenance guides.
