Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Test Pilot to support E-2D production acceptance flight tests and Foreign Military Sales, onsite in Melbourne, FL. You will lead air vehicle test activities, develop procedures, and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers and other pilots.

The role requires a strong flight test background, NATOPS qualification, and the ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in STEM with 12+ years related professional/military experience OR MS in STEM with 10+ years OR STEM PhD with 8+ years.
Active US Government Secret clearance (or higher) with BI within 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
Ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance in a reasonable time.
Current/former E-2D pilot NATOPS qualification.
Minimum 2,000 hours total time and 1,000 hours in E-2 or C-2.
FAA Class II medical, FAA commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument rating, and FAA Radio Operators permit.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain air vehicle acceptance procedures with technical justification.
Oversee development of test plans and test cards for safety and efficiency.
Lead pre-flight briefs coordinating complex air vehicle testing with aircrew and engineers.
Lead post-flight debriefs and capture lessons learned.
