Job summary

The Senior Manager of Test Operations oversees the test area at our West Palm Beach facility, ensuring proper execution, safety, and quality in testing rocket components and engines. This role leads strategic initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve throughput, while managing personnel, equipment, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior operations experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior operations experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior operations experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations (preferably test operations), with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure production schedules are met and products are manufactured/fabricated to the highest quality standards.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to track and improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production goals.
• Develop and manage budgets for the test area, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the assembly operations.
