HX5, LLC is seeking a Senior Test Manager to support Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on test management across lab and site testing, risk mitigation, and providing SME guidance to customers and sub-contractors.

Requirements include extensive DoD-related test leadership experience, proven test planning expertise, and the ability to coordinate complex test programs with multiple agencies. Hybrid schedule with 1 day onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• 15+ years directly related experience, 8+ in DoD.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years rel exp, 5 in DoD.
• Master’s degree plus 10 years rel exp, 5 in DoD.
• Test management background with 8–10 years of success.
• Experience writing, reviewing and executing test plans.
• Knowledge of BB, SBWT, or experience-based testing techniques.
• Understanding of project life-cycle and test management processes.

HX5 is currently recruiting for a Senior Test Manager to join the team at Peterson Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with the customer/sub-contractors to ensure their test needs are met, mitigating risks, and providing SME support
• Documenting test outcomes and performance
• Developing test methodology, test plans and related documentation, and system diagrams
• Using Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs
• Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered during testing
• Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity
• Make recommendations on test outcomes and be prepared to back up those recommendations with facts
• Scheduling required testing between sites and multiple programs and agencies
• Scheduling required in lab testing between multiple programs and agencies
• De-conflict testing conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead
• Managing and executing Lab testing
• Managing and executing formal Site testing
• Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification)
• Independently prepare criteria, computation/analysis, specifications, cost estimates, test plans and technical reports
• Troubleshoot errors/anomalies during test events
• Provide detailed test status reporting and briefings to the customer and management level

Salary:

This position is expected to pay $90,000 - $140,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

• Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD;
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of relative experience, Five (5) of which must be in the DoD;
• Master's degree and ten (10) year of relative experience, Five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
• Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience to be recognized as an expert in their technical/professional field.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise.
• Test management background with a proven history of success (8-10 years)
• Experience writing, reviewing, and executing test plans
• Knowledge of Specification based on Black Box, Structured based White Box, and/or experience-based testing techniques
• Knowledge of the project life-cycle
• Strong understanding of test management processes, design techniques, and best practice
• Experience in designing and implementing test frameworks on large scale programs and enhancing existing test processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of Cheyenne Mountain an ITW/AA network
• Knowledge of Ground Based Radar systems
• Knowledge of Missile Warning and Missile Defense operations
• Knowledge of Space Mission Operations

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. This position offers hybrid flexibility approximately 20% (1 day a week) - Subject to change per the customer's discretion.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Must be able to travel, up to 10% including air travel to include CONUS and OCONUS locations.
