Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Principal Test Infrastructure Architect to lead SSR lab architecture in MA and remotely-supported environments. The role blends hands-on lab work with strategic roadmapping, ensuring scalable, reliable test infrastructure for product validation.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation, and coordinate with global teams to align with product plans and engineering priorities. A hybrid schedule is expected with regular facility work in Westford/Andover, MA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Typically 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, site reliability engineering, data-center environments, or related field.
Experience designing/leading multi-rack, multi-network engineering environments.

Responsibilities

Owns strategy, architecture, standards, reliability, capacity, and long-term roadmap for SSR test environments.
Designs lab layouts, network topologies, compute and virtualization platforms, storage, and management networks.
Leads troubleshooting across hardware, Linux, networking, virtualization, automation, and test infrastructure.
Drives automation for onboarding, provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and reporting.
Maintains architecture diagrams, network maps, procedures, and onboarding docs.
Mentors engineers and provides technical leadership across teams.
