Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Westford, MA is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join the Networking Engineering team. The role focuses on developing, validating, and testing next-generation networking software for enterprise and data center environments.

You will design test strategies, automate test cases, and work across software development, test engineering, and product teams to deliver high-quality releases. This hybrid role expects ~2 office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, software testing, or networking technologies.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Hands-on programming or scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and validate software enhancements and new networking features.
• Lead software testing efforts, including feature qualification, scale, migration, certification, interoperability, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze topologies, RFCs, and design docs to build comprehensive test plans.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test coverage and product quality.
• Develop and automate test cases using industry-standard frameworks.
