Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology leader, seeks a Senior Test Firmware Engineer to own test firmware on microcontrollers and host-side Python/LabVIEW frameworks. You will validate next‑gen radio products from prototype to production and collaborate with Cognizant Design Engineers and manufacturing to ensure scalable test coverage.

The role requires hands-on lab work, bare-metal C and Python, and a focus on building scalable test infrastructure across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Python architecture, design and development.
• Embedded C for test instrumentation with host APIs.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) systems.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Linux operating systems and command-line proficiency.
• Knowledge of hardware bus protocols and test strategies.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build unified test environments with target firmware and host execution frameworks.
• Develop C-based MCU test firmware exposing internal peripherals via UART/CAN/SPI for host control.
• Create reusable drivers for peripherals and benchtop equipment using PyVISA/SCPI/vendor APIs.
• Debug across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and EE test teams on coverage and features.
• Review schematics and test plans, contribute test firmware capabilities.
• Maintain automated test suites, analyze results, and resolve issues with developers.
• Develop HITL stations for regression testing and support board bring-up.
• Provide feedback to improve quality and test coverage; mentor engineers.
