Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer, Test Equipment for the Space & Defense Group, located onsite in Buffalo, NY, with possible roles in East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO.

You will design hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo, and electro-pneumatic test systems for Moog products and lead development to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to test equipment design to verify functional performance for military, commercial, and space vehicles, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with coaching, guiding, training, or providing technical leadership to other engineers is preferred.
• Self-motivation, critical thinking, and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal program teams to provide the design of specialized test equipment, systems architecture and interface definition, and requirements validation.
• Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog’s program scope.
• Develop system level requirements, support decomposition to component levels, and lead verification of the test equipment.
• Design linear/rotary test equipment systems in support of development and production hardware.
• Work with MATLAB/Simulink to construct, understand, and exercise system models to predict performance and manage margins.
• Perform hardware correlation, system integration and verification testing.
