Job summary

Moog is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer for its Space & Defense Group, with on-site work in East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO, and Buffalo, NY.

The role focuses on hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo, and electro-pneumatic test equipment design to support military, commercial, and space vehicle products. You will lead design activities, mentor engineers, perform analyses, and ensure accurate documentation while contributing to cost, schedule, and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on electrical design experience, preferably in test equipment, controls, or similar systems.
• OR an Associate's degree with 9+ years of hands-on electrical design experience
• Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in the development of new test equipment and assemblies.
• Validate concepts with trade studies and analyses.
• Integrate electronic components into higher-level systems and test completed designs.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers; contribute to work estimates and engineering records.
