Job summary

The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Senior Equipment & Tool Engineer to join the Test Equipment Engineering team in Heath, OH.

You will analyze spare parts and components for test stations, coordinate cross‑functional efforts, mitigate obsolescence, and drive engineering changes through customer approvals and ECN processes.

Role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in aerospace/defense test equipment or related fields, with strong vendor management and ERP/MRP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in test equipment support, spare parts management or obsolescence in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with ECR/ECN, BOM/PLM, ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spare parts and electronic component requirements for all test stations; maintain spare parts lists and forecasts.
• Coordinate with test engineering, design, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and logistics to obtain required parts.
• Source and manage relationships with vendors; ensure delivery schedules and quality requirements.
• Monitor component lifecycle; assess obsolescence risk and propose mitigations.
• Coordinate design updates and capture ECNs; maintain BOMs and spare parts databases.
• Prepare and present design changes and spare parts strategies to customers and stakeholders.
