Job summary

Epiroc in Garland, TX is seeking an Engineering Test Supervisor to lead the engineering test function for R&D. You will plan, schedule, and execute test programs and prototype builds, delivering accurate data to Engineering and supporting field issues.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in heavy equipment, and strong data analysis skills. Expect onsite work and collaboration with global teams in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years experience with heavy equipment or related environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems on mobile heavy equipment.
• Ability to develop test plans and analyze technical data.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition, sensors, transducers and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, procedures, and setups for drill rigs and systems.
• Collaborate with R&D engineering to verify new designs and resolve field issues.
• Identify test requirements early and manage timelines.
• Coordinate test rigs with Production and adjust sequencing to protect deliveries.
• Interface with product development teams on prototypes and field support.
• Lead safety for the test function, including PPE compliance and safety SOPs.
• Own test equipment calibration, maintenance, and budgeting needs.
• Supervise, hire, train, and develop test technicians.
• Maintain IMS documentation and support audits.
• Communicate plans, schedules, and risks to teams early.
