Job summary

Set of X is seeking an experienced test engineer to join our team. You will test software across telephony and networking hardware, generate test cases from requirements, and support research and development with systematic testing.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, regex-based data searches, building lab environments, and maintaining meticulous test documentation; a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in system testing of complex systems.
• Strong Python experience.
• Experience with creating and using regular expressions for data searches.
• Experience integrating new and old technologies into existing testbeds and networks.
• Experience creating test scenarios and analyzing procedures.
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing.
• Ability to build, test, and maintain multiple lab environments with telephony and networking hardware.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt schedules to address issues and perform baseline, system, and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Test software following a formal automated testing method using telephony and networking hardware across multiple platforms.
• Generate test cases based on defined requirements and product functionality.
• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of R&D efforts.
• Analyze large log data sets and testing data, documenting results clearly and concisely.
• Create test documents such as test plans, traceability matrices, and test summary reports, and analyze test procedures.
