Job summary

Set of X in Annapolis, MD, seeks an experienced Test Engineer to join a team building and evaluating complex government-grade systems. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance and hands-on work with Python, test automation, and lab environments using telephony and networking hardware.

You will develop test cases, perform baseline, system and regression testing, analyze large log data, and create test plans and traceability matrices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in while performing system testing of complex systems.
• Strong Python experience; ability to develop scripts and regular expressions.
• Experience with integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and testbeds.
• Experience with creating scenarios that support test case creation and procedure analysis.
• Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing.
• Ability to develop, build, and test multiple lab environments using telephony and networking hardware following formal testing methods.
• Ability to set priorities and rearrange schedules to address unexpected issues and perform baseline, system, and regression testing in R&D efforts.

Responsibilities

• Test software following a formal automated testing method using various telephony and networking hardware spanning multiple hardware platforms.
• Generate test cases based on defined requirements and product functionality.
• Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts.
• Analyze large log data sets and software test data while documenting results clearly.
• Create test documents such as test plans, requirements verification traceability matrices, and test summary reports, and provide analysis of test procedures.
